It seems like a lot of brides feel like they are faced with an impossible situation with wedding flowers. Either they pay a fortune for a florist; DIY their own flowers, which involves a lot of stress and work the day before the wedding; or scrape together an assortment of fake flowers that don’t look real or have any real meaning.

I’m here to tell you: there IS another option.

It is Love for Sunday’s hyper-realistic silk flowers inspired by Catholic Tradition. They cost a fraction of real flowers, won’t ever wilt, and your guests won’t be able to tell that they are fake. They are abundant, jaw-droppingly gorgeous, and infused with prayer for your marriage.

Here are some reasons that silk flowers are an amazing option.

1. Your silk flowers will be heirlooms.

It kills me to see a bride’s sad, wilted flower bouquet thrown away at the end of the wedding. Maybe I’m sentimental, but your wedding bouquet seems like the kind of thing you’d want to treasure forever. While preservation techniques like pressing flowers or casting them in resin are options, they are different from the bouquet. Imagine being able to put your wedding bouquet on the table on your anniversary every year while your kids, and eventually your grandkids, gather around. Imagine carrying it during your renewal of vows ceremony. Silk flowers allow you to do just that. My silk flower bouquet lives on my dresser or sometimes in my living room. It is my favorite and most treasured decoration.

2. Real flowers wilt.

Not only do real flowers not last years — they often don’t last a single day. I was at a wedding this summer where the flowers were so wilted at the rehearsal that when the bride presented her bouquet to her mother (a gesture she had been planning to do), she had to apologize for their appearance.

Flowers aren't meant to be out of water for longer than a few hours — so they will inevitably wilt by the end of the night. Silk flowers make for better photos without greying blooms.

3. They are budget-friendly.

If you have ever contacted a florist, you will likely recall your shock when you get the quote. Flowers are often about $10,000 for a wedding, with the bridal bouquet alone averaging about $300-500. And it makes sense: wedding florists have to deal with arranging the flowers, refrigeration, delivery, and a multitude of other things.

My silk flowers are a fraction of the cost. An average order for a wedding is $300-500 (yes, even for custom orders!). Your budget will thank you for choosing my silk flowers.

4. They are delivered to your door.

You have enough to coordinate for your wedding — don’t let flowers be one of them! I deliver to anywhere in the U.S. Your flowers will arrive on your front porch with plenty of time before the big day.

5. It will simplify your wedding day

Don’t fall into the trap that DIYing is always cheaper. People often spend as much DIYing their flowers as you could spend on one order from me.

I’ve had some friends DIY real flowers from Costco or a farmer’s market, and while it worked out for them, it meant that the whole afternoon before the wedding was dedicated to making flower bouquets and figuring out how to keep them fresh. Personally, I’d rather spend that time soaking in time with family and friends in town for the wedding.

Silk flowers will make your wedding day SO much simpler. There will be no buckets of dripping flower bouquets to deal with, no orders to pick up, and no wilting.

6. Your guests won’t be able to tell the difference.

I take great pride in making my silk flower bouquets look realistic in every way. I search far and wide for the best quality of each type of flower. I refuse to sell flowers that are subpar.

Your guests will be shocked if you tell them these are fake flowers.

7. They are infused with meaning and prayer.

Most importantly, these flowers are infused with prayer for your marriage. When I make every bouquet, I light a candle and pray for every couple — that you have a holy and happy marriage. Beneath every bouquet, you can read about the Catholic symbology of the flowers in that bouquet.
